BEVA offers best practice management seminar

The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has organised a practice management forum to help equine veterinary practices get the best out of their business.

The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has organised a practice management forum to help equine veterinary practices get the best out of their business.

Marriott Forest of Arden, MeridanThe two-day session, sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, aims to provide delegates with the opportunity to learn from, and debate with, top quality speakers and offer the chance for convivial networking on the golf course or in the spa.

Presenters have been chosen, said BEVA, to bring a fresh perspective to some of the most important elements of practice management.

Andrew Gillespie, managing director of Montforte Wines and a former marketing director of Barclays Bank and Standard Life, will provide a different perspective on the marketing of services.

Adam Auckburally, a clinician at the University of Glasgow, will lead discussions on how to make the practice pharmacy efficient and compliant and Julian Samuelson, managing partner of Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in Kent, will explore the pros and cons of zoning and look at the challenges from internet pharmacies. Nick Steele and Amy Rook will also bring their expertise to bear on how to get the best from your staff and your clients.

Lectures will be generously interspersed with time on the Arden Championship golf course, spa treatments at the hotel and a three-course dinner and wine tasting in the evening. The closing ceremony and prize-giving will take place at the 19th hole.

The seminar takes place on June 26 and 27 at the Marriott Forest of Arden, Meriden, Birmingham (pictured).

Delegates can attend either day one, day two or both days, with the latter including the three-course dinner and overnight’s accommodation. Fees for the two days are £420 for BEVA members and £565 for non-members.
