Steve Cram wows delegates on Petplan stand at congress

Olympic medallist Steve Cram was guest of honour on the Petplan stand at BSAVA Congress before going on to give a motivational talk at the Petplan Veterinary Awards held at Birmingham’s Town Hall.

Steve Cram and staff on the Petplan standNicknamed The Jarrow Arrow, Steve set world records in the 1,500 metres, 2,000 metres and the mile event in the summer of 1985. He was the first man to run 1,500 metres under three minutes and 30 seconds. He won the 1,500 metres gold medal at the 1983 World Championships, and the 1,500 metres silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games.

His Petplan talk drew on his past career, and looked forward to an inspirational summer of 2012 at the London Olympics.

Petplan had challenges, games and a crazy golf course on its stand at congress.
