RCVS 'Question Time' event visits County Tyrone
Vets, veterinary nurses and other members of the practice team from the County Tyrone area are invited to put their questions to the RCVS during a "Question Time" event at the Glenavon House Hotel in Cookstown on May 17.
Vets, veterinary nurses and other members of the practice team from the County Tyrone area are invited to put their questions to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) at a "Question Time" meeting to be held in Cookstown.
The meeting will take place at the Glenavon House Hotel on May 17, 2012.
RCVS president Jerry Davies and other RCVS and VN council members will be in attendance to listen to veterinary concerns and discuss issues currently affecting the profession.
There is no formal agenda, as the intention is for delegates to steer the discussion, as well as having an opportunity to meet colleagues and the RCVS in a pleasant, informal setting. Topics raised at similar meetings in other areas have included:
- veterinary legislation,
- the regulation of veterinary nurses, and
- the new Codes of Professional Conduct.
The evening will kick off at 6:30pm with a buffet and drinks, with the meeting itself starting at 7:15pm.
The Royal College will also be holding 45-minute "surgeries" for veterinary practices accredited with (or considering joining) its voluntary Practice Standards Scheme (PSS). These will take place at the same venue between 1:00pm and 5:00pm, and are offered on a first-booked, first-served basis.
