Registration open for TP Congress 2012
Registration is now open for The College of Animal Welfare's TP Congress 2012 - a two day conference covering many of the current issues affecting the training of veterinary nurses.
Registration is now open for The College of Animal Welfare's TP Congress 2012 - a two day conference covering many of the current issues affecting the training of veterinary nurses.
TP Congress is aimed at all those involved in the training of VNs and will be held at Wood Green, The Animals Charity in Cambridgeshire, on March 19 & 20.
With top class speakers on both days, organisers say this year promises to be another event not to be missed.
Course Provider day will be held on March 19 (Monday) and is aimed at course providers, heads of centres and programme managers.
Speakers include:
- Martin Barrow from Central Veterinary Services, who will present a lecture entitled "Introducing an Alternative Awarding Body" ;
- Lisa Jarvis from Lantra, who will speak about "New Developments for the Veterinary Profession" ; and
- Kathy Kissick from Myerscough College, who will discuss "The Secrets to Achieving 100% Exam Student Exam Success".
Clinical Coach Day will take place on March 20 (Tuesday) and is aimed at clinical coaches who are supporting student veterinary nurses in the workplace.
Lectures on this day include:
- "Life after the closure of the RCVS Awarding Body" presented by a City & Guilds representative ;
- "What does a clinical coach need to know about equines?" by Sophie Pullen from the Royal Veterinary College ;
- "The NPL – an update for clinical coaches" by Julie Dugmore from the RCVS.
