New addition to large animal range for vets

Animalcare Ltd has announced a new addition to its large animal POM-V range. Tilmodil is licensed for pneumonia in cattle and sheep, foul in the foot in cattle, footrot and mastitis in sheep.

Animalcare Ltd has announced a new addition to its rapidly expanding large animal POM-V range. 

Tilmodil (tilmicosin 300mg/ml solution for injection)A  fast-acting, long-acting, semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic, Tilmodil (tilmicosin 300mg/ml solution for injection) is licensed for pneumonia in cattle and sheep, foul in the foot in cattle, footrot and mastitis in sheep.

Tilmodil is administered as a single, low volume subcutaneous (SC) injection dose and presented in 50ml multi-dose vials.

Tilmodil has been developed for animal use only and is administered by veterinary surgeons only. Tilmodil is given by a simple, easy to calculate dose of:

  • 1ml per 30kg bw for respiratory disease and mastitis in sheep, and
  • 0.5ml per 30kg bw for interdigital necrobacillosis (foul in the foot/footrot/bovine pododermatitis).


Tilmodil is the latest addition to the Animalcare range of affordable large animal animal products that includes Enrocare solution for injection and Florgane suspension for injection (both launched in 2010).
